ReadyLocal Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 13, 2026
Summary: ReadyLocal is an offline-first emergency preparedness application.
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external server.
All data you create (family plans, checklists, documents, settings) stays on your device only.
1. Information We Collect
ReadyLocal collects no personally identifiable information (PII) and no location data.
- App preferences & settings — Stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. Never transmitted.
- Family emergency plan, ICE profile, and checklist progress — Stored locally on your device. Never transmitted.
- Document Vault photos (Pro feature) — Photos you add of IDs, insurance policies, or medical records are stored only in the app's private, on-device storage. Never uploaded anywhere.
- Subscription status — If you purchase a Pro subscription, RevenueCat (our billing provider) processes the transaction and stores a pseudonymous app user ID and purchase history to validate entitlements. See Section 4.
2. Permissions We Request
- Camera — Used to control the hardware LED flashlight for the SOS distress beacon, and (Pro Document Vault feature) to photograph your own documents for local, on-device storage. Vault photos are never uploaded or shared.
- Photos / Media Library — Used only to save images you generate in the app (e.g. your Emergency ICE Card) to your device's photo gallery, and to let you pick an existing photo when adding a Document Vault entry.
- Notifications — Used only for local, on-device reminders you schedule yourself (e.g. supply expiration alerts). These are not push notifications and nothing is sent from a server.
- Modify system settings (screen brightness) — Used only in Low-Battery Emergency Mode to dim the screen and conserve power; restored when you exit that mode.
- Device biometrics / screen lock — Used to unlock the Document Vault using your device's existing fingerprint, face unlock, or PIN. ReadyLocal never receives your biometric data — the device operating system handles authentication.
ReadyLocal does not request microphone or audio-recording permissions. No location, contacts, or SMS permissions are requested.
3. Data Storage
All application data — settings, plans, checklists, ICE profile, and Document Vault photos — is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and on-device file storage. This data is:
- Never uploaded to any server operated by ReadyLocal
- Accessible only to the ReadyLocal application
- Deleted when you uninstall the application
ReadyLocal does not currently offer an in-app "erase all data" control. To remove all local data, uninstall the application (this permanently deletes all locally stored data, including Vault photos) or clear the app's storage from your device's system Settings > Apps > ReadyLocal > Storage.
4. In-App Purchases (RevenueCat)
If you purchase a ReadyLocal Pro subscription, payments are processed by:
- Google Play Billing — Google handles all payment processing. ReadyLocal never sees your credit card or payment details. Refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user ID and purchase receipt to validate your subscription. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Purchase history data shared with RevenueCat is used solely to validate your premium subscription status and is encrypted in transit.
5. Third-Party Services
ReadyLocal does not use:
- Analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
- Advertising networks or ad SDKs
- Crash reporting services that upload personal data
- Social media integrations
6. Children's Privacy
ReadyLocal is designed for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
